It's My Birthday! : )

It's my BIRTHDAY today (yay!) and I have had a great day! I have started my birthday post, but will finish it tomorrow because I'm going to watch a movie with the hubs right now! : )

May 17th

While I was doing the dishes this morning Emeri came around the corner in one of my T-shirts! It was hilarious to see her in this giant shirt! 

May 16th

Emeri playing outside at my sisters! She was hiding from the sprinklers!

Gateway Fountain

We headed to the Gateway today to play in the water fountain and we had a really good time! Emeri loved getting wet, even though the water was cold, and wasn't afraid to get down where the water was spraying out even if she got sprayed right in the face! : )

After playing in the water we went and got some ice cream and then headed home for nap time! It was such a fun little trip! We will be doing it again this summer!

Mother's Day!

The Mother's Day fun started on Saturday with a dinner at Zupas with Braeden's Mom and Family

We had tons of fun just chatting! We need to go out together more often! 

And Sunday consisted of:

-Sleeping in

-Breakfast made by Braeden 

-Craft with primary

(The kids loved making these for their moms)

-Mother's Day letter from Braeden hanging on our door when we got home! (I will have to talk about letters from Braeden on another day! Letters mean more to me than anything!) 

-Nap (Happy Mother's Day to me!!!): ) 

-Dropping off Mother's Day gift for Grandma Val

(We made a can full of candy kisses that said "I know sometimes you miss us, So here is a can full of Emeri KISSES!" and then Emeri decorated the label with her art skills! love it!)

-Dinner with my mom and crazy family

-Gift for Grandma Cannaday

(All the kids used their finger prints for the leaves on the empty tree and all the grandkids were the blossoms(pink)! It's a twist on the typical family tree! I think it turned out quite cute!) 

-Talking to Jill (my little sister who is on a mission) on the phone

-Gift for Grandma Kathy (we did the same family tree idea!)

-Dessert at Grandma Kathy's

-and the GRAND FINALE... a gift from Emeri

I told Braeden I didn't what him to buy me anything for Mother's Day I just wanted him to help Emeri make me something and this is what they made for me...

Something I can treasure forever! : ) 

I'm so grateful for all the mothers in my life, but especially my mom! She is a great example to me of what a mom should be! 

I'm also grateful that I have the opportunity to be a mom (best thing ever) and for Braeden making me feel so special on Mother's Day! : ) LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

Baseball and Blow Up Slides!

My nephews had a big baseball day today with back to back games and fun activities at the field! The whole family came to cheer them on and show their support! It was tons of fun playing with everyone!

Emeri's first time on a swing! We don't have any swings at the parks around us so I was excited to swing with her! She liked it when she was on my lap but she wasn't so sure when she was in her own swing!

Emeri was so worn out by the time we were done playing it took her about 30 seconds to fall asleep in the car! Too much fun! : ) 

Pony Tail!

I realized yesterday that Emeri finally has enough hair for a pony tail and when all her hair is pulled back it makes her look so much older! : ) Check it out...

While we were at the park some older kids were throwing food for the seagulls! Emeri and Riot being the bird lovers that they are had to go get involved and chase the birds! They had the best time running after the seagulls!

Playing With Cousins

At my sister's today we played outside in the sprinklers! I love the fact that it's hot enough to play outside in the water! This also means (hopefully) that the pools will be opening soon! Soooo... excited!

We had to have ice cream cones before playing in the sprinklers! 

 This is what Aden thought of the ice cream his mom was sharing with him! Best toothless smile! 

Emeri didn't have a diaper on while we were playing outside! I couldn't get enough of her cute diaper-less bum in the swim suite! : )

Emeri was freezing at this point but kept playing for a while longer-she was having too much fun!

ON ANOTHER NOTE! 

While Emeri was playing outside without a diaper I thought she might be trying to poo so we hurried inside and I put her on the toilet! This is our first attempt at potty training! No luck in the potty, but it's a start and she did try! Plus you got to love this picture! hahahahaha this girl cracks me up! 

Mesmerized

Braeden took the day off today to take us to the ZOO and boy did we have a lot of fun! Emeri was in awe with all the animals! She hardly smiled the whole day because she was so mesmerized with the whole experience! It was so fun pointing everything out to her and her trying to make all the animal sounds! Going to zoo is 100 times better when you have a little one that is so excited to see all the animals! I think Braeden and I had just as good of time as Emeri did because we were excited that she was excited! : )

Mesmerized!

 Elephants are my all-time favorite animal and I think they are one of Emeri's as well! We could have watched them all day! (My other favorite were the tigers they were up and doing all kinds of stuff! As Braeden put it they are majestic to watch! Such a huge beautiful animal!) 

This is what happens when Braeden says, "Smile for mom!"  CHEESE BALLS! 

What do you think Emeri thought of the reptile house? haha! I agree with her it was very smelly in there, but we still enjoyed it! Emeri's favorite was the crocodiles! She likes clapping her hands and saying "snap snap!" like a crocodile!

Anytime there is a bird anywhere Emeri has to point it out and say bird both in sign language and with words so the bird show to her was amazing (well to us too)! There were tons of different very cool birds and most of them flew right over our heads literally like inches above us! 

The whole thing was a BLAST! One of the best parts was the lady that got us in for FREE! She had a membership that allowed her to have "guests" so while we were standing in line to pay she asked us if we wanted to get in free as her guests! Um... YES! It made the trip that much better! : ) So THANK YOU to the nice lady that got us in for free with her! 

And Thank You to Braeden for taking the day off work to spend it with your girls! What FUN memories!
