Floating

Braeden and I went on a fun date on Saturday!
We went tubing down the Weber River!
Life as been a bit overwhelming and I was missing my husband, which sounds kind of crazy since we see each other every day, but when we are together we are taking care of this and that we never get quality time together, so we needed some us time! (I'm sure you all understand how that goes if not you will one day!)
I was trying to find something we could do that was close to home, fun, just the two of us, and relaxing! Tubing fit all of my criteria for the most part! It wasn't always relaxing at times it got a little stressful, but being together made up for the stressful parts!
We had a really good time!
It's been way to long since I laughed as much as I did tubing with Braeden!
(One of the many reasons I love him so much! He makes me laugh A LOT!)

Cheese!

Laughing our guts out! : )

Floating down the river! Relaxing...

At other times not so relaxing

I love that guy!

I'm glad we finally got some us time! So worth it!
Thanks mom for watching the kiddos!

If you are interested in doing this here's the place we went through Destination Sports!
We were on the river for about 3 hours, got to see 8 miles of beautiful scenery, and had a lot of fun together!

Monsters University

We went and saw Monsters University today! Braeden's work treated us (and all the other 400+ employees and their families)!
It was Kyler's first movie and he did really well! He got a bit restless at one point so he and I went and stood up for a bit, but he eventually fell asleep and was out cold for the rest of the show!

Braeden and Emeri before the show!

Kyler and I waiting for it to start!

Kyler zonked!

Then after the show we had a bit of fun too!

Posing with Mike and Sulley!

Emeri's very own Monsters University student ID card!

On our way to get a bit to eat!

Kyler always scrunches his nose these days and I can't get enough of it!
I LOVE IT!

We had a good time (It's always a good time when it's free right? Just like food always taste better when it's free!??)!
There are so many good kid shows coming out this summer I think we will be spending more time at the movies this summer than we have in a long time especially since Kyler did so well!

On a side note...
This is a really good picture of Kyler's teeth!
You can see that his two bottom teeth are all the way in and his two top teeth have cut all the way through (FINALLY It took those top teeth months to finally decided to come down and stay down)!

Here's a close up! : )

I can't believe how big my boy is!

Father's Day Camp Out

Our annual Father's Day weekend camp out was great this year!
Here's a bunch of pictures that sums up what we did in that day and a half!

Cooking dinner!

Lots of CHILAXING!

Hanging out around the fire!

It was well below freezing so we just made one big bed and snuggled to keep warm and it worked!
Our kiddos were so good during the night!
Kyler did wake up a couple times, but he went right back to sleep without a problem!
This is the kiddos waking up and being silly!

Braeden didn't want to get out of bed because it was so cold so Emeri started jumping on him! : )

We went on couple hikes!
The kiddos love exploring!

Family photo op!

Stick out your tongue! : )

Kyler was too cute while we were hiking!
He LOVES being in his Baby Bojorn carrier!
He kicks his legs, waves his arms, and talks the whole time!

Throwing rocks in the creek!

Emeri had a GRAND time looking for bugs and getting really dirty!

We really had a great time!
Kyler even took 3 really good naps in the tent with all the crazy noise around us!
I guess the key for him to take good naps is to take him camping!
I think we might have found something Kyler is better at as a baby then Emeri was! : )
He's a good little camper!

Kyler waking up from one of his naps!

The whole group in one picture!

Emeri was out in less than 5 minutes after we left to come home! She definitely played hard and wore herself out!

We love this tradition! It makes sure we get out and go camping at least once every year! We are already looking forward to next year!

Smears

While at my sister's house last week there was this purple bag sitting on her coffee table that belong to Aunt Jill and it was torturing Emeri and Sammy!
Why you ask???
Well because it was full of her makeup and those little girls could not wait to get there hands on what was inside, but I wouldn't let them until Aunt Jill got home from work and they could ask her! So it sat there and taunted those girls all afternoon! : )
It was the first thing out of those little girls mouths as soon as they saw her and Aunt Jill was more than willing to let them do each others makeup!
This is Emeri's make up done by Sammy!
(Sammy wouldn't let me take a picture of her, but we'll get to that later!)

Then with much convincing and begging Aunt Jill let the girls do her makeup too!
Sammy did the right side and Emeri did the left side!
Teamwork!

Their master piece!
Not too shabby for a 4 and 2 year old! : )
(Silly Aunt Jill!)

And then this is what happened when I wanted to take a picture of Sammy! ...
She through a huge fit smearing her makeup everywhere and because Sammy was crying Emeri had to cry too!
Good thing Grandma was there to save the day from mean ol' Jenni trying to take picture and ruining their fun!! : )

And that is a why 2 year olds and 4 year olds shouldn't wear mascara!
It would be running down their face almost instantly!

Soaked

We headed down south to go play in the Gateway Fountain with Jill (my little sister), Jon, Ralleigh (my little brothers), Ethan, Andrew, Sam, and Aden (my older sister's kiddos her and her husband are in Hawaii so Jill has her kids while they are gone!) and it was a BLAST!

Trying to get up the nerve to go for it!

Once they finally took the plunge they were running around and having a good time

Geez, I have cute kids, nieces, and nephews!

The little girls running around with Aunt Jill! : )
(Can you tell that they are happy Aunt Jill is home??)

Jill and Jon getting soaked!
(So Jill, Jon and Ralleigh all came in there clothes thinking they weren't going to get in the water, but all ended up getting soaked because they just couldn't resist! :) )

The water was COLD so Kyler didn't really enjoy it, but he did splash around for a bit and run through the water with Uncle Jon!

Warming up in the sun!

Just so you know... If you ever go to the fountains take some plastic cups with you! The kiddos love putting them on the holes and waiting for the water to come out and shoot the cup up in the air! Instant giggling will happen!

Ok, so, funny story... This is my little brother Ralleigh he came to help out with the little ones without any intention of getting in the water, but when the Gangnam Style come on he couldn't resist getting out in the middle of the fountain and putting on a show for everyone! It was very entertaining I will give him that! : ) But then he decided to stick his head in one of the fountains and it sprayed his glasses off! When he finally found them both lenses where gone! He did end up finding one of them, but the other one was no where to be found! The best part was he had no regrets! He thought it was the best thing ever that he got to dance Gangnam Style in the middle of the fountain with all eyes on him!
hahahaha!
He's the best!

Sporting the one lens look!

To finish the fun off I got a giant snow cone for everyone to share! And by giant I mean it was literally more than a foot tall! : )

GOOD TIMES!
I LOVE MY FAMILY!

Monster Smoothie

You know those monster smoothies that are majority spinach???
Yeah? Kyler loves them!
I mean, LOVES THEM!
He freaks out when you take a turn having a drink!
And he is not a fan when it's all gone!
I really don't know how he drinks so much so fast without getting a brain freeze (freeze brain for all the Canadians! : ) )

Drunk on spinach!
hahaha!

I know there are a lot of recipes out there for Monster Smoothies, but I thought I would share the one we use because it's YUMMMMY!

Monster Smoothie
3 cups Spinach
1-2 Tbs Peanut Butter
1/2 - 1 Banana
3/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 1/2 - 2 cups Ice
1 scoop Whey Vanilla Protein

ENJOY!

I know a spinach shake is intimidating, and I was reluctant at first too, but they are really super yummy and you feel so good when you start your day off with one!

(We don't put the protein powder in because Ky is allergic to it and it still taste great, just so you know!)
