Dancing, Funnel Cake, and Fireworks

Friday was a great family night! 

It started at TGI Fridays with Brad, Val, and Toren for dinner! 

Emeri couldn't get enough of her broccoli as you can tell she was very excited about it! : ) 

Then we headed to Taylorsville Dayzz which consisted of:

Lots of Dancing, 

Airplane watching,

 Just Hanging Out,

Funnel Cake, 

This thing was huge by the time we all got our fill it looked like we had taken 1/2 a bite out of it!

Last year we were in Canada over the 4th of July holiday season when all the fireworks happened, so we didn't make it to any! I was excited to see if Emeri loved them or hated them because they were loud, but she loved them as long as she is as close to mom as possible! She was such a trooper and in a great mood for being up until 11! 

We will definitely be hitting up some more fireworks this year to make up for last year! : ) 

Just Keep Swimming

We found another pool by our house that is awesome! 

The pool at our apartment complex is out of order right now and has been for awhile! 

BOOOOO! 

The worst part is they don't know when it's going to open again! : (  

This has put a huge damper on our summer plans! So if we want to go swimming we have to go else where! But because of this it has forced me to look harder for fun pools around our house and one of our new favorites is the Clearfield Aquatics Center. 

It couldn't be more perfect for little swimmers like Emeri! They have an outside splash pad and a little pool outside that doesn't get any deeper then 2 feet (just Emeri's size)! Inside there is a fun playground area, a "lazy river", and a big slide that Emeri can ride on our laps and go down! 

There was tons of things to keep us entertained for hours!

Having way too much fun! 

We had tons of fun swimming and splashing yesterday and I can't wait to go back with Braeden next week, sometime! He will have so much fun with our little squirt at this place! 

Little Things

These are just two random/silly/cute things that happened the other day while I was at my sister's house that I want to remember so they are going in our family journal(blog)! 

Emeri had to sit on a pot to eat her lunch because the highchair was being used by Aden!

Grumpy Face! 

Emeri found a strainer in Alex's cupboard and kept asking for fish because she thought it was a fishing net so Andrew filled up a bucket with water and put bath toys in it(without anyone knowing what he was doing)so Emeri could fish! Isn't that the cutest most thoughtful thing (considering he is a 6 year old)? Andrew is always taking care of all the little ones!

Time to Relax

The last 4 days have be go go go! 

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday we were down in SLC all day! 

Saturday was Braeden and I's temple date for June! 

(6 for 6 YEAH!)

Emeri exhausted after one of our long days! 

Sunday was family dinner at Kathy's! 

Monday was help out with wedding stuff for Taya's wedding (Braeden's little sister), and spend time with Kathy! I found a dress for the wedding and Kathy found shoes so it was a very successful day! : ) 

And Tuesday Emeri and I went down to play at the Gateway with my sister and her kiddos in the fountain and then brought my little brother Jon home with us because he will be staying at our house until the end of the summer!

We have had tons of fun over the last 4 days even though it has been crazy busy but...

It is time to relax today and catch up on everything I have been neglecting at home aka running errands,cleaning, and this blog!

We love seeing our family and friends down in SL, but I'm excited not to drive for the next couple days! : ) 

Water Table

It's definitely not a secret that Emeri loves the water, so we got her a water table for our balcony! It is perfect! We can go out and play together or she can go out on the balcony and play while I get other things done! 

The table came with some fun "stuff" that you can play with, one of which being a "twisty thing" in the middle that you throw balls into and they twist down and splash back into the water, Emeri is becoming quite the good shot (We might have a basketball player on our hands!?), but despite all the fun stuff there is to play with Emeri's favorite thing to do is dump the water out cup by cup! : ) KIDS!?

I'm excited for all the fun we will have with this water table this summer! 

Milestones

Both of our babies had milestones recently (or will)! Emeri turned 18 months old on the 10th of this month and Baby Boy will be 24 weeks old on Monday!

Milestones mean Dr. appointments so here is the latest: 

We had our 24 week doctors appointment yesterday so we got to see baby boy again! YAY! (It seems like we have a million Dr. appointments doesn't it? Our next appointment isn't for another 4 weeks! Don't worry!) He is still growing great and is as cute as ever! 

He's measuring 4 days early 

He weighs approximately 1 lb. 8 oz.

and He is about 12 inches long 

He is growing like a weed and my belly is getting rather large as well! 
There is no mistaking I'm pregnant! : )

Emeri had her 18 month check up this morning! I can't believe she is so big! : ) So... at the dr. office she is not a fan of the nurse AT ALL! Emeri is fine when we go until she sees the nurse and then she starts crying and saying,"NO!" : ( She knows the nurse gives her her shots so she is very hesitant to go with her back to the room! (Do you blame her?) It's sad and I feel bad that she knows what's going to happen, but we have to get her shots done! Luckily this time she only had to have one shot instead of the usual 5! : ) She did cry, but as soon as I showed her the fruit snacks I brought for her she completely forgot she even got a shot! The tears lasted maybe 5 seconds! : ) (Thank you fruit snacks for coming to the rescue!)

Emeri's measurements:

She is 32 inches long (55th percentile)

She weighs 21.8 lbs. (15th percentile)

and Her BMI is in the 8th percentile

She is on the smaller side, but she always has been so it's nothing to worry about! 
That's just how Emeri is!

Worst Nightmare

Emeri and I were off to the library today to find some good books to bring home! 

However once we got to the library and Emeri discovered the step stool and drinking fountain all she wanted to do was play in the water! : ) If it's between books and water, for Emeri, books are lame and playing in water will win every time! 

I did finally convince her to leave the water and come read some books with me, but she was more interested in moving the books from shelf to shelf rather then sitting on my lap! She is a librarians worst nightmare! 

At the end of this exhausting experience (Emeri was crazy!) we did end up finding some pretty good books and movies to bring home and enjoy! : )

Bed Head

Emeri has the most amazing bed head I have ever seen! It is so out of control! 

I LOVE IT! : ) 

It reminds me of a lions mane!

...Q-TIPS... 

Emeri has a little obsession with q-tips and cleaning her ears (Alex, I have no idea where she gets this from! ; ) ) Lately instead of cleaning her ears and throwing the q-tips away she would rather just stick the q-tips in her ears and walk around like that! : ) hahaha! 

She makes me laugh everyday! 

I don't know what I would do without her! : )
